Gabriel Barbosa appeared to open the door to a Flamengo exit last night as Inter seek a buyer for the Brazilian.

The striker has scored nine goals in 12 league matches this season, with another nine coming between fixtures in cup competitions and Brazil’s state championships.

However, after scoring twice last night as Flamengo beat Emelec in the last 16 of the Copa Libertadores, he worried supporters with a cryptic comment.

Gabigol was reported by Coluno do Fla as saying: “I want to enjoy this moment and these last matches so I can win something.”

Inter are desperately looking for a club to whom they can offload the 22-year-old, having wasted €30 million on his purchase from Santos in 2016.

Gabigol failed to make an impact in Europe while playing for the Nerazzurri and Benfica, but he has resurrected his career since returning home.

Tuttosport this morning reported clubs from England, Spain and Russia were interested in signing the striker, but added that his wage demands were scaring suitors away.
