Antonio Conte is ‘furious’ he has to train Mauro Icardi despite the forward not being part of his plans at Inter, according to Corriere della Sera.

Icardi’s wife and agent Wanda Nara is convinced Conte ‘expressed a technical appreciation’ for him during Inter’s training camp in Switzerland.

The Nerazzurri are adamant this is not the case, though, and reiterated to Icardi yesterday that he will never play for the club again.

Maurito and his family remain determined not to leave Milan this summer, but he still appears to have no future at Inter.

Inter want €75 million to sell their former captain and encouraged Icardi to reconsider offers from Napoli and Roma when they met him on Thursday.

Icardi listened to his management explain their point of view before replying curtly: ‘I understand’.

Wanda fears Inter will exclude the 26-year-old from their Serie A and Champions League squads this season, which would push her to take legal action against the club for mobbing.

Inter have strongly denied the idea they discussed that possibility in yesterday’s meeting, but it stands to reason they might pursue that strategy if Icardi remained.

Wanda seems willing to countenance a move to Roma after twice holding talks with the Giallorossi this week.

Icardi himself has no interest in moving to the capital, though, and he is similarly cold towards Napoli too.
