Inter will make it clear to Mauro Icardi that he will see out the remainder of his contract from the sidelines if he truly wants to remain with the club according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Argentine still has two years left to run on his contract and Inter are refusing to budge from the hard line they have taken against the 26-year-old, who they have told has no future with the club after the events of last season.

Despite this, Icardi seemingly wishes to remain at the club but the Milan based newspaper state that while he will train with teammates, he will not see any action whatsoever on the pitch.

So to avoid any potential legal trouble, he will more than likely be included on the squad lists for both the league and UEFA competitions but will not actually be called upon, even in an emergency situation.
