If Inter wish to sign one of Barcelona duo Arturo Vidal or Ivan Rakitic it will require some sales according to a report from Tuttosport.

Both players have been pushed down the pecking order at the Camp Nou and with several midfielders set to leave Inter, the Nerazzurri are seemingly keen on adding another to their ranks with Vidal or Rakitic.

Mauro Icardi’s sale would raise appropriate funds but the Argentine is reportedly wanting to stay at the club despite being told he is no longer considered as part of the club’s plans going forward.

The report goes on to state that the sale of Joao Mario could however put Inter well on their way toward either the Chilean or Croatian.

The Portuguese midfielder has failed to live up to the hype that surrounded him upon his arrival back in 2016 and is subject to interest from Ligue 1 club Monaco, who could offer Inter Pietro Pellegri as part of any deal.
