Inter and Fiorentina are in talks over a possible swap deal that would involve Borja Valero and Cristiano Biraghi according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.

La Viola are keen to bring Spanish midfielder Borja Valero back to the club but have so far been unwilling to meet Inter’s demands to sign him outright which has led to the idea of a loan swap deal.

Valero’s contract with Inter is due to expire at the end of the season and with the arrivals of Stefano Sensi and Nicolo Barella, playing time for the veteran is likely to be reduced meaning a move away is probably in his best interests.

Biraghi would certainly be a useful acquisition for Inter due to being proven at Serie A level and because he would count as a homegrown player due to him being an Inter academy graduate.

Other reports circulating have meanwhile suggested that Inter winger Matteo Politano could be involved in a swap for Biraghi.
