Arturo Vidal wants to join up with his old boss Antonio Conte again at Inter, according to FcInterNews.it.

The Chilean international is missing life in Serie A and feels he is unsuited to Barcelona’s possession-based style of play.

Inter would like Vidal on a season-long loan and it is thought the Catalan giants are open to the idea, after Ernesto Valverde decided he was not a key part of his squad.

The Nerazzurri would most likely need to offload Borja Valero and Joao Mario first, however, having already sent Radja Nainggolan back to Cagliari.

Conte spent three years working with Vidal at Juventus and once told reporters he would follow the midfielder into battle, such were his warrior-like qualities.

Inter would only have to pay Vidal €7 million in terms of wages because Barca have already covered the first two monthly installments in July and August.

Vidal came close to joining Inter last summer after agreeing personal terms, but Suning then decided to give their final available non-EU slot to Keita Balde instead and left him to join Barcelona.

The deal is not likely to happen until the end of August, given Inter’s need to sell first, but the site assured it would ‘probably’ come to fruition in the end.
