Former Inter player Riccardo Ferri has shared his views on Inter’s transfer market business so far and shared his hopes for the remainder of the window.

“I am confident because I believe that some players need to be moved before things take place. If not in the coming days, in the next week I think there will be some news. I do not believe Inter will remain as they are, they are working to complete the team,” he started an interview with Radio Sportiva.

He then spoke specifically on Inter’s transfer targets for the attack.

“Lukaku and Dzeko are the first choices. Rebic has done well but has not done enough for me. If Higuain goes to Roma, it would create a domino effect: Icardi could go to Juventus then Dybala, Lukaku and Dzeko could all come to Inter. The Nerazzurri attack would therefore be completed.”

Ferri also spoke on Mauro Icardi’s situation with the club.

“I believe that there will be no winners to this situiation. Inter would have never thought of being without a player who has made such a difference in recent years but the off field issues have taken their toll.

“At this moment, the player is putting up a bit of resistance and for his own good, he is right to do that but he needs to find somewhere else to go and play.

“The club have been firm about their position so Icardi is in danger of getting into trouble. If he doesn’t play for so long, it will affect his career.”

He concluded by speaking on Inter’s defence and midfield.

“I think Inter have taken a step forward in both of these departments. Barella and Sensi are two very important purchases even if they do not have experience at the top level.

“In defence, with Handanovic in goal and three strong central defenders, I think that Inter have one of the strongest defences in Europe.”
