Inter have confirmed the departure of midfielder Radja Nainggolan to fellow Serie A side Cagliari with the Belgian midfielder joining the Rossoblu on a season long loan.

“FC Internazionale Milano announces that midfielder Radja Nainggolan has joined Cagliari Calcio on a temporary basis until 30 June 2020,” an official statement confirming the move reads on the official Inter website with Cagliari set to officially announce the deal on their end shortly too.

The 31-year-old only joined Inter last Summer in a circa €38 million deal from Roma but his first season in Nerazzurri was disrupted by injury and off-field issues. He made 36 appearances across all competitions in which he scored seven goals and tallied three assists.

Nainggolan will still have two years left on his contract with Inter after his loan deal with Cagliari expires and the player himself has refused to give up hope of getting his Inter career back on track going by his comments in recent days.
