Inter remain keen on bringing their former academy full-back Cristiano Biraghi back to the club, according to Tuttosport.
The Nerazzurri have been in talks with Fiorentina recently over a deal for Borja Valero, who is not part of Antonio Conte’s plans this season.
But the clubs could expand their negotiations to include the Italy international, despite the Viola only having one other left-back in their squad at present.
Matteo Politano could also be included in the deal, with his future in Milan no longer as certain as it seemed a month ago.
Vincenzo Montella is looking for new forward options and would not disapprove of a move for Politano, who scored six goals in all competitions last season.
The 25-year-old only joined Inter permanently from Sassuolo in June, but he would be a fourth or fifth-choice option in Antonio Conte’s 3-5-2 system.
Biraghi left Inter’s youth system in 2014 and made 35 league appearances for Fiorentina last year, helping them escape relegation on the final weekend in Serie A.
The 26-year-old would be eligible for one of Inter’s homegrown slots in their Serie A and Champions League squad lists, which could explain the Nerazzurri’s revived interest.
