Romelu Lukaku will stay in Belgium until the Manchester United striker has sorted his future, according to Sky Sports News.

United have reached a mutual agreement with the player to let him train with Anderlecht this week, as Inter continue to pursue a deal.

Neither the Nerazzurri nor Juventus have been successful in their bids to sign Lukaku, though, whom the Premier League giants value at £79 million (€88 million).

“Lukaku is adamant he wants to leave the club and has not played a minute of pre-season football for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team,” they reported.

“It is understood Solskjaer is prepared to let Lukaku leave before Thursday’s transfer deadline and is willing to utilise emerging young players such as Mason Greenwood in attacking positions.”

Lukaku seemed likely to join Juve last weekend but the move collapsed after United ended their interest in Paulo Dybala.

He has scored 42 goals in 96 appearances for United since joining for £75 million from Everton in 2017.
