Inter are preparing a fresh offer for Romelu Lukaku as the striker’s agent prepares for new talks with Manchester United, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Federico Pastorello will present United today with the improved bid, which is worth €64 million plus €5 million in bonuses.

Reports in England on Tuesday suggested Inter had seen a €74 million offer rejected by United, but the club have denied this, along with a supposed interest for Matteo Darmian.

Antonio Conte has been informed of the Nerazzurri’s latest moves and is satisfied Inter are doing everything possible to secure his key transfer target.

Beppe Marotta, Piero Ausilio and Dario Baccin held another transfer summit yesterday and agreed on the new offer for Lukaku, which quickly received the green light from Steven Zhang.

Juventus have raised the white flag in their bid to sign the Belgian international after their swap deal with United, involving Paulo Dybala, fell through.

The Bianconeri were planning to send Mario Mandzukic to Manchester in a huge operation, but Dybala’s wage and commission demands have caused everything to collapse.

Everything now points towards Fabio Paratici making a new attempt to sign Mauro Icardi, although the situation is thought to be changing very quickly.

United have identified former Tottenham forward Fernando Llorente as a replacement for Lukaku and hope Juventus return to the table, so they can instigate a bidding war.

Juve need Spurs to make a formal offer for Dybala before they can do that, though, which is expected to be in the region of €60-70 million whenever it arrives.

Dybala is unlikely to join Tottenham because he earns a lot more than most players there, and because Mauricio Pochettino’s side are following Philippe Coutinho as well.

Juve cannot make another move for Lukaku without offloading La Joya, meaning Inter currently have no rivals for Conte’s most wanted man.
