Inter’s talks with Bayern Munich for Ivan Perisic are not as advanced as some sources have claimed tonight, according to FcInterNews.it.

Various news outlets reported the Croatian international was closing in on a loan deal with the German champions, having been discarded by Antonio Conte in preseason.

However, the clubs have only discussed the player informally after an intermediary figure close to Bayern initiated a chat.

Bayern would be prepared to offer Inter a loan deal worth €3-5 million with an option to buy for €18-20 million.

The Bavarian giants are looking for a wide player after missing out on Nicolas Pepe and Leroy Sane, with the latter suffering a serious injury earlier this week.

Perisic’s agent Nelio Lucas began negotiations for a deal worth less than €25 million two weeks ago, but Bayern’s owner Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said at the time that he was not willing to invest in a player over 30.

Perisic has received another approach from another Bundesliga club RB Leipzig, but he would only return to Germany for Bayern.

Lucas has not spoken yet with the mediator who helped Inter and Bayern make contact, suggesting there is no deal currently close to fruition.
