Inter’s new signing Romelu Lukaku holds the record for being Belgium’s all-time leading goal-scorer, as Gazzetta dello Sport recalled today.

The former Manchester United and Everton man has netted 49 times in 68 appearances for the ‘Red Devils’, five of which have come at the FIFA World Cup.

Antonio Conte has been following his work for years, having already tried to sign him at Chelsea, and is delighted to finally secure his man at the second attempt.

Lukaku has also had spells with Anderlecht, where he was training earlier this week while waiting to sort his future, and West Brom in the Premier League.

Inter have signed a prolific centre-forward in Lukaku but their new arrival has more to his life than just professional football.

Lukaku is an icon in his native Belgium but he is known all around the world now, as demonstrated by the record-breaking endorsement deal he signed with PUMA last year.

The forward boasts a staggering 4.7 million followers on Instagram, thanks to his time at United but also his love of music.

Lukaku recently collaborated with Belgian rapper TheColorGrey, releasing a track called ‘New Levels’.
