Ivan Perisic’s entourage are confident they will complete a loan move from Inter to Bayern Munich, according to Sky Sport Deutschland.

Talks are at an advanced stage for a deal that would see Bayern reserve an option to buy for €30 million, thus meeting Inter’s asking price.

Perisic has not taken a final decision yet but those close to him are optimistic the transfer will go through soon.

The news confirms what was already reported by other sources in Germany on Friday, as Inter seek to trim their squad for Antonio Conte.

Perisic scored nine goals for Inter last season but Conte’s decision to play a 3-5-2 system means he is now surplus to requirements.

Conte tried to convert the 2018 World Cup finalist into a wing-back during the first part of preseason, but he gave up on that experiment after just one match.

Perisic has since played as a second striker alongside Sebastiano Esposito, as Conte waited for new forwards to arrive from the transfer market.

This was never likely to be a stopgap though because this is not his actual position, and now it appears he is on the verge of departing.
