Wanda Nara is considering a legal challenge against Inter after the club took away Mauro Icardi’s no. 9 shirt, according to FcInterNews.it.

Icardi’s ‘MI9’ brand was significantly damaged this morning when the Nerazzurri announced they had given the number to Romelu Lukaku.

Inter’s move was not taken well by their former captain and is likely to cost him millions of euros, and Wanda believes this might be enough to let her sue the club.

Friday’s developments have driven an even bigger wedge between Icardi and Inter and make it nigh-on impossible he will stay beyond the end of the transfer window.

Inter’s decision to give Lukaku the no. 9 shirt was described as an attempt to stamp out any last hope Icardi had of changing their mind.

Until recently Maurito was still confident he could convince Antonio Conte to give him a second chance, but this appears to be a mirage.

“It’s odd that this has happened with the player still in the squad and under contract, without having been asked for permission,” the article said.

“Icardi will now have to reconsider his position and start thinking about a move away from the club.”

Juventus are still trying to tempt Icardi to make the switch to Turin, with sporting director Fabio Paratici preparing him a five-year deal worth €8 million annually plus bonuses.

The Bianconeri have yet to assign their own no. 9 shirt this summer and it could well be Icardi who fills it, perhaps after having swapped clubs with Paulo Dybala.
