Antonio Conte and Romelu Lukaku are destined to achieve great things at Inter together, according to one player who knows both very well.

Eden Hazard was coached by Conte for two years at Chelsea and has played countless matches alongside Lukaku for the Belgian national team.

Hazard assured Inter supporters the club had signed ‘a fantastic striker’ who can adapt to various different styles of play.

“Lukaku scores a lot, and that’s important for a centre-forward, but it would be a mistake only to consider his goals,” the Real Madrid star told Corriere della Sera.

“He knows how to do a lot of things. For example, he’s a specialist when it comes to what we call ‘second plays’. All teams play better with him in the side.”

Hazard said Conte was very different to new Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri, who he played for last season, but had words of praise for both.

He added: “I learned a lot from both. They have different characters and ways of playing the game, but they have one thing in common: they’re two winners.

“Both have a clearly recognisable style and know what instructions they need to give their players.”
