Edin Dzeko has begun searching for houses in Milan as the Roma striker awaits a move to Inter, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Inter have agreed personal terms with the striker and both parties are determined to force through a deal as quickly as possible.

However, Roma are not conceding any ground and are tempted to raise their asking price to €25 million, in the hope it will persuade Inter to withdraw their interest.

The Giallorossi do not have a replacement lined up for Dzeko, despite knowing for at least two months he wanted to leave, which is complicating matters terribly.

Dzeko considers his time in Rome to be finished and wants the club to give him the same treatment afforded to Kostas Manolas and Stephan El Shaarawy, both of whom were allowed to leave.

The forward’s agent Silvano Martina has met Inter twice and Roma once this week, however, and is said to have told Beppe Marotta that €15 million plus a young player will not be enough.

Antonio Conte wants Dzeko to partner Romelu Lukaku up front and his employers will continue to push hard to reach a deal.

Lukaku’s arrival on Thursday has allowed everyone at the club to relax slightly, though, given Inter are no longer with their backs to the wall in the market.

“Suning can afford to wait for Roma to find a replacement and analyse the reaction Dzeko gets from the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday, when they play Real Madrid in a friendly,” CdS reported.

“They can also take time to study the approach Dzeko will take from now onwards, because if until the middle of this week he had been an exemplary professional, giving 100% in training and playing very well in friendlies, in the last few days he’s lost his smile and become much more impatient.”

Inter are aware this could help them in their talks with Roma and hope Dzeko will continue to put pressure on Petrachi now.

Martina was reassured by the Nerazzurri’s hierarchy during their meeting that Conte has no intention of dropping the pursuit for his client.
