Despite having an interest in his teammate Arturo Vidal, Inter also have an interest in signing Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic according to a report from Spanish news outlet Sport.

Inter are looking to add one more midfielder to their ranks in the remainder of the transfer window and have identified the Chilean and Croatian as possible additions.

Antonio Conte is understood to have specifically requested that Inter’s management court Rakitic, who Barcelona are not opposed to losing due to the abundance of midfielders they have at the moment.

Barcelona, as per the report, will not sell the 31-year-old for anything less than €50 million though meaning Inter may need to make some sales before moving for him further meaning Inter’s potential move for him may not come until nearer the end of the transfer window.

Last season Rakitic made 54 appearances across all competitions for the Blaugrana in which he scored five goals and provided 10 assists for teammates.
