Sebastiano Esposito will split time between the first team and Inter’s Primavera team this season according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

Due to Inter’s shortage of strikers, the 17-year-old has been given a chance to impress over pre-season and he has done exactly that.

Inter manager Antonio Conte has made it known to the Italian youth international that he is willing to count upon him despite the recent arrival of Romelu Lukaku and presumed arrival of Edin Dzeko – who Inter could have probably signed already had they offered Esposito as part of the deal.

The report goes on to state that the reason Inter didn’t include him as part of the deal is because Inter’s management deem Esposito as the best prospect to have come through the ranks since Mario Balotelli came through about 10 years ago.

Esposito made his competitve first team debut last season in the Europa League loss to Eintracht Frankfurt and is under contract with the club for a further three seasons.
