Inter’s young Italian central defender Alessandro Bastoni, believes new Nerazzurri coach Antonio Conte has instilled a mentality to always want to win in the team, he told Inter TV after the friendly match against Valencia which inter won with Bastoni scoring the winning penalty.

“It was important to win today, because the coach has instilled this mentality in us.”

Bastoni was happy about scoring the winning penalty but mainly that the team has an identity and therefore they are ready for the Serie A.

“I am pleased about scoring the decisive penalty but above all because we have an identity, something you could see from the beginning of when we started preparing. We are ready for the Serie A.”

“Tonight we had to adjust tactically to the conditions of the match as it was being played, and we still all have to what we need to defensively but we are determined and we are working well.”
