Contact between Inter and Roma over Mauro Icardi and Edin Dzeko is continuous according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport.

Roma are pushing for a swap deal that would see them offer Dzeko plus €40 million in exchange for the Argentine, who has been told he is no longer considered as part of the Inter project after a series of off-field issues last season.

Giallorossi manager Paulo Fonseca dreams of being able to call upon Icardi in his attack but it might only remain a dream for him.

The reason for this is because Icardi is seemingly against a move to the Italian capital due to the fact he does not wish to join a club that is not competing in the Champions League.

Roma are not alone in being interested in Icardi with fellow Serie A clubs Napoli and Juventus also reportedly keen on signing him this transfer window.
