Inter will use money generated from the sale of Mauro Icardi toward signing Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from fellow Serie A club Lazio according to a report from Tuttosport.

Napoli, Roma and Juventus are all reportedly interested in signing Icardi but as things stand, Inter are yet to receieve any offers for the 26-year-old Argentine, who has been told he has no future at Inter, that satisfy them.

Tuttosport are convinced that with Milinkovic-Savic in their team, Inter can challenge for the Serie A title.

“The purchase of Milinkovic-Savic, in addition to that of Edin Dzeko in attack, would allow Conte to run head-to-head with Juve,” the report states.

Should Inter be unable to convince Lazio to part ways with the Serbian midfielder, they have a list of alternatives in mind.

The first alternative is Barcelona’s Ivan Rakitic, who has a €50 million pricetag on his head. Arturo Vidal was a player considered an alternative but Inter are worried of a repeat of the Radja Nainggolan situation.
