Inter’s Newest Recruit Lukaku To Train Alone As He Looks To Raise Fitness Levels

Romelu Lukaku will train alone at Inter’s Angelo Moratti Sports Centre for the next two days as he tries to reach peak fitness levels following his recent arrival at the club according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

The Belgian, who is the club’s most expensive transfer ever, arrived from Manchester United at the end of last week and is still lacking on the fitness front.

He is keen to ensure he is in top condition for Inter’s Serie A opener in exactly two weeks time at home to newly promoted Lecce, a match he will certainly start if he is fit.

The 26-year-old showed exactly what he is capable of in yesterday’s 8-0 friendly victory over Serie D side Virtus Bergamo as he scored four goals.

The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to state that Lukaku’s official unveiling press conference could be postponed in the meantime.
