Inter could reopen talks with Roma over the possible inclusion of a counterpart or even counterparts as they continue to look to get a deal done for Edin Dzeko according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Nerazzurri have been after Dzeko for some time but have struggled to reach an agreement with the Giallorossi.

Inter initially wanted to spend no more than €10-12 million on the veteran Bosnian striker whilst Roma have demanded €20 million all along.

Inter reportedly raised their offer to €15 million but even that was not enough with Roma adamant that they will not reduce their demands for Dzeko, who has just a year left on his contract with the club.

The report goes on to state that Roma will flat-out refuse to sell Dzeko after Ferragosto – the Italian holiday which is celebrated on August 15 – due to the fact they will not have much time to find a replacement after that.
