There are three clubs currently involved in the race to sign Inter midfielder Joao Mario according to a report from Turin based news outlet Tuttosport.

Following the arrivals of Stefano Sensi and Nicolo Barella in the midfield, he has fallen down in the pecking order at the club.

Ligue 1 outfit Monaco have shown a keen interest in landing the Portuguese midfielder on a loan with redemption option basis.

German Bundesliga pair RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen are both also interested in signing the 26-year-old on the same basis.

Joao Mario joined Inter back in 2016 as one of owners Suning’s first purchases at the club but he has never truly lived up to his pricetag and only ever shown glimpses of the player Inter thought they were getting.

Since joining from Sporting Lisbon, he has made 69 appearances across all competitions for Inter. 22 of those appearances came last season wherein he scored one goal and provided three assists for teammates.
