Antonio Conte will only achieve success at Inter if his players are willing to work for him, Zdenek Zeman warned today.

The Nerazzurri have endured a series of torrid seasons since 2010, with various accusations levelled at the squad’s hunger and mentality.

Conte will attempt to resolve this problem by using tough coaching methods, but Zeman was not convinced everyone at Inter will buy into this.

He said: “Conte is rebuilding Inter through his own personal convictions and footballing ideas.

“But he has an obstacle to overcome: he must get everyone in and around the club onside, and he must convince his players to follow his instructions and tolerate his training methods.

“Listening to the rumours you hear, Inter’s dressing room isn’t known for its application.”

Zeman said Juventus were still favourites to win Serie A this season, albeit he admitted new boss Maurizio Sarri had ‘a mountain to climb’.

“Juventus have won a lot but they’ve done so in a completely different manner to how he coaches,” he added.

“If things don’t start well then there could be a few problems and regrets.”
