Inter are virtually guaranteed to sign either Edin Dzeko or Paulo Dybala during the last month of the transfer window, according to Tuttosport.

Last weekend’s preseason friendly between Roma and Real Madrid marked the end of Dzeko’s time with the Giallorossi, as the Bosnian signed off with an impressive goal in a 2-2 draw.

Beppe Marotta has no doubt they will sign their man eventually and is expecting an offer from Roma for Mauro Icardi anytime now.

“It’s no secret Marotta would like to combine the two deals,” TS reported this morning.

“His €80 million valuation for Icardi is too much for Roma, but it’s easy to imagine the clubs could reach an agreement around the €60 million mark, or rather €40-45 million plus Dzeko.”

Inter’s bid to swap Icardi for Dzeko could be scuppered by Maurito’s desire to join Juventus, despite the Bianconeri’s lack of action on that front for now.

In any case, the only scenario in which Dzeko would stay at Roma for another season is if Inter reached an agreement for Dybala instead.

“At that point Roma would risk losing the forward on a free transfer next summer,” the paper concluded.
