Mauro Icardi is likely to be denied a move to Juventus by Inter’s demands for the Bianconeri, according to Repubblica.

Inter want €70 million in cash or a swap deal with Paulo Dybala to send their former captain to Turin, but Fabio Paratici does not wish to contemplate either scenario.

Napoli’s chances of signing Icardi have diminished in the last few days, meaning the striker will either join Juventus or Roma or stay at Appiano Gentile.

The paper reported: “Wanda Nara’s idea is clear. Juventus are the ideal destination for Icardi because they are the dominant side who would give him a chance to exact sporting revenge on Inter.

“But it won’t be an easy deal to pull off.”

Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis has cooled his interest for Icardi in favour of Fernando Llorente, who would cost nothing because he is a free agent.

It remains to be seen whether Roma will manage to persuade Maurito to reconsider a move to the capital, with little progress made on that front so far.
