Inter and Juventus are both looking for ways to avoid a swap deal involving Mauro Icardi and Paulo Dybala this month, according to Tuttosport.

The Bianconeri do not want Dybala to join a direct rival and are hoping Paris Saint-Germain will step up their interest soon.

Beppe Marotta is similarly reluctant to consider the switch, albeit this may be more to do with strategy than a true opposition to the idea.

The paper reported: “Neither Marotta nor Fabio Paratici wants to be the first to begin talks, not least because they would lose power in eventual negotiations.

“Inter and Juventus would need to discuss the players’ respective valuations, but Inter do not want to give Juve extra cash in the deal like they would want.”

Dybala came close to joining Manchester United and Tottenham before the Premier League’s transfer window shut, but talks with both clubs fell through.

Icardi has no future at Inter but Napoli and Roma are also interested, meaning Juventus have a battle on their hands to secure the 26-year-old.
