Juventus could make a fresh attempt to sign Federico Chiesa this summer amid reports Inter have revived their interest for 2020, according to Tuttosport.

The Viola are pursuing forwards such as Suso and Franck Ribery on the market at present, suggesting Rocco Commisso has still not fully excluded the idea of a sale.

Juve will need to offload a series of attacking players before they can move for the 21-year-old again, but Chiesa has given preference to them after agreeing personal terms in June.

If the last-minute bid to bring the Italy international to Turin were unsuccessful, Inter would remain firmly in the race for next year.

Beppe Marotta was reported elsewhere on Tuesday to have re-entered the race for Chiesa, having planned talks with the forward’s father Enrico in the coming days.

Chiesa endured mixed fortunes with Fiorentina last season but remains one of Italian football’s hottest young prospects for the next decade.

He was expected to leave Florence this summer after reportedly agreeing a pact with the club’s former owners, but Commisso’s takeover has changed the scenario and made it much harder to depart.
