Sergej Milinkovic-Savic played down talk suggesting he could leave Lazio today by assuring he had everything he needed in the capital.

Inter are among a series of clubs to be linked with the Serbian midfielder in recent weeks, although it would appear they cannot move for him until they have sold a couple of players.

Milinkovic-Savic was heavily tipped to join Manchester United at one stage last month, but the Reds’ interest never truly materialised.

He told Espreso: “The transfer window in England has finished and so has the story between me and United. I’m not annoyed with what people were writing because I was concentrated on preseason with Lazio.

“I am where I am and I’m not thinking too much about the end of the market. My head is with the club to whom I am contracted, I’m a Lazio player.”

Milinkovic-Savic scored seven goals and created three assists for Lazio last season, heading in the opener during their Coppa Italia final victory against Atalanta.
