Inter legend Dejan Stankovic wished Wesley Sneijder well for the future on Tuesday after the midfielder announced his retirement from football.
Stankovic shared the Inter dressing room with Sneijder for the final four years of his career, working together to deliver an historic treble under Jose Mourinho in 2010.
Sneijder had a strong case to win the Ballon D’Or that year after taking the Dutch national team to the World Cup final in the summer.
“It was an honour to fight, win everything and rejoice with you,” Stankovic wrote on his Instagram profile.
“Good luck for your future!”
