Inter full-back Dalbert would prefer a return to Ligue 1 over a move to Fiorentina if he left the club this month, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The Nerazzurri have studied the idea of swapping the Brazilian for Cristiano Biraghi, but it appears a difficult deal to pull off.

Dalbert’s reluctance to join the Viola is one stumbling block but Daniele Prade’s valuation of the two players could be another.

Prade feels Biraghi is worth far more than the former Nice wing-back and would want an extra cash fee from Inter should they switch clubs.

Inter have prioritised signing a new wing-back for Antonio Conte and are also considering alternative options to Biraghi.

The club’s transfer activity is on standby following Romelu Lukaku’s arrival and Mauro Icardi’s indecision regarding his own future.

Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio are working to complete a deal for Edin Dzeko, but Roma’s interest in Icardi could delay any potential agreement between the clubs.

James Pallotta is expected to make an offer for Maurito in the coming days and this is persuading Inter to wait and see what happens for the time being.

Marotta and Ausilio will hold another transfer summit with Conte in a few days to discuss outgoing deals and a possible last-minute signing in midfield.

Inter will make their Serie A debut at home to Lecce on 26 August but Conte’s squad is not quite ready for action just yet.
