Inter and Paris Saint-Germain are the only possible destinations left for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic if the midfielder left Lazio this month, according to Corriere della Sera.

The Serbian international is more than likely to remain in the capital for another season and would be anything but disappointed to stay put again.

However, nothing can be excluded until the transfer window shuts on 2 September and Inter might stand a chance of changing the 24-year-old’s mind.

Milinkovic-Savic scored seven goals in all competitions for Lazio last season as Simone Inzaghi’s side finished eighth in Serie A and won the Coppa Italia.

The former Genk man distanced himself from a departure on Tuesday when asked about a potential move to Manchester United last month.

He told Espreso: “The transfer window in England has finished and so has the story between me and United. I’m not annoyed with what people were writing because I was concentrated on preseason with Lazio.

“I am where I am and I’m not thinking too much about the end of the market. My head is with the club to whom I am contracted, I’m a Lazio player.”

Milinkovic-Savic joined Lazio for €10 million in 2015 and has since scored 31 goals in 163 appearances.
