Inter have set themselves a deadline for next Wednesday to complete all their remaining summer transfer business, according to La Repubblica.

Antonio Conte wants every arrival and departure to be finalised in the next seven days so he can begin working properly for the new season without distractions.

Edin Dzeko is the biggest issue still to resolve but Inter and Roma’s combined valuations for the Bosnian and Mauro Icardi, who could switch clubs in a part-exchange deal, remain €10 million apart.

The Nerazzurri would also like to sign another midfielder within the next week, but it will have to be a cheap deal given they have already invested €170 million this summer.

Joao Mario is the only other player after Icardi whom Inter expect to offload, with the midfielder now linked to Turkish giants Galatasaray.

Conte’s side will make their debut in Serie A against Lecce on 26 August but the Nerazzurri’s squad still needs completing with less than two weeks to go.
