Antonio Conte has already stamped his mark on Inter during preseason, according to the midfielder’s former Juventus teammate Alessio Tacchinardi.

The Nerazzurri produced a series of impressive performances this summer against Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham, drawing all three before winning the latter two on penalties.

Tacchinardi admitted he was impressed with the impact Conte was having but stopped short of tipping Inter for this year’s Serie A title.

“You can already see the work Conte is doing with Inter very clearly,” he told Radio Bianconera.

“I can’t see similar progress with Juventus under Maurizio Sarri yet, but they remain a stronger team than Inter and Sarri is not inferior to Conte as a coach.”

Tacchinardi spent 10 years playing alongside Conte in the Old Lady’s midfield, winning five Scudetti under Marcello Lippi.

Conte will face his former club at San Siro on 6 October, with a return to the Juventus Stadium scheduled for 1 March.
