Mauro Icardi will give Juventus until Sunday to make a move for him before reconsidering offers from Roma and Napoli, according to Corriere della Sera.

The Bianconeri remain favourites to secure the Inter striker’s signature but they must offload some of their own forwards before stepping up their interest.

Roma have moved ahead of Napoli in the race behind Juventus, but Inter are concerned the Giallorossi would sell Icardi straight onto their arch rivals next summer.

The Nerazzurri are prepared to include a clause in any agreement they reach with Roma which guarantees them compensation should this happen.

Fabio Paratici’s close relationship with Gianluca Petrachi means a move to Roma could prove little more than a stopgap for Icardi, before joining Juventus in twelve months’ time.

The 26-year-old appears to have put the Italian champions top of his wish list ever since Inter made it clear they wanted to sell him.

Inter received a letter from a legal consultant close to Icardi’s entourage earlier this week, asking the club to reintegrate the forward fully into training.

The request seems to have fallen on deaf ears, though, as Antonio Conte again excluded Maurito from his tactical exercises yesterday.
