Inter Could Include Anti-Juventus Clause If They Sell Icardi To Roma

Inter are considering including an anti-Juventus clause in any future deal with Roma for Mauro Icardi, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The Nerazzurri would send their former captain to the capital but stipulate in the clubs’ agreement that he cannot be sold to their arch rivals in a year’s time.

Roma remain an unlikely destination for Icardi, not least because they would have to make him the highest-paid player in the club’s history.

CdS suggested the Giallorossi have already offered a mouth-watering €7 million net annual salary to the striker’s agent Wanda Nara.

Roma’s owner James Pallotta views a deal for Icardi as an exception to the club’s traditional economic policy, although much of the money spent on him would be covered by Edin Dzeko’s subsequent move to Inter.

The American businessman took out a multi-million bond recently with private investment firms in a bid to raise money, underlining Roma’s delicate financial predicament at this moment in time.
