Inter are one of four Italian clubs monitoring former Tottenham striker Fernando Llorente, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Llorente is a free agent after leaving the Premier League club on 1 July, having scored eight goals in all competitions last season.

Lazio are the latest to have joined the race for the Spaniard but Roma and Napoli remain interested.

Any club wishing to pick up Llorente would need to offer an annual salary worth €3-4 million and pay a hefty commission to his brother and manager Jesus.

Llorente has already played for Antonio Conte at Juventus and could represent a low-cost alternative to Edin Dzeko.

Roma seem unwilling to let the striker depart in the final three weeks of the transfer window, given they now have precious little time to find a replacement.

Romelu Lukaku’s arrival from Manchester United has solved Conte’s striker shortage after he was forced to work on limited resources during preseason.

Inter still need another forward before the market closes on 2 September, although Llorente could arrive after that date because he is not contracted to any club.
