Inter’s Interest For Alexis Sanchez Cooled By Man Utd Forward’s Wage Demands

Inter are one of three Serie A clubs interested in signing Alexis Sanchez from Manchester United, according to the Daily Mail.

The Chilean international made 20 league appearances last season, scoring just once while creating three assists.

Juventus and Napoli are also following Sanchez, but the forward’s wage demands are likely to scupper any potential deal.

Referencing the Mail’s report, ESPN said this morning: “None of the trio are willing to pay a substantial transfer fee, or even offer close to what the player is currently pocketing.”

“United are now faced with the prospect of subsidising Sanchez’s salary to help facilitate a deal that would see him leave the club.”

Sanchez already has experience playing in Italy after spending three seasons with Udinese.

The 30-year-old scored 21 goals in 112 appearances for the Bianconeri, before joining Barcelona in 2011.

Antonio Conte wants another reinforcement up front before the transfer window closes, but Inter are more focused on securing a deal for Edin Dzeko at present.

The Bosnian was included in Roma’s match-day squad for tomorrow’s preseason friendly against Arezzo, a move which suggests his move to San Siro is still not close.
