Inter have accelerated their talks with Fiorentina to resign Cristiano Biraghi, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The Nerazzurri have decided to sign another wing-back for Antonio Conte and believe their former academy player is the ideal fit.

Inter must first resolve Dalbert’s future before Biraghi can arrive, albeit negotiations with both Fiorentina and the defender are well under way.

Dalbert will not join Fiorentina in a swap deal but is tempted by a return to Nice, although Biraghi can only arrive on loan regardless of where the Brazilian moves.

Beppe Marotta attended training at Appiano Gentile yesterday alongside Alessandro Antonello and Piero Ausilio, with Dario Baccin also making an appearance in the morning.

Inter’s CEO updated Antonio Conte on the latest developments regarding Biraghi and then discussed another signing in midfield, which remains possible provided it is at a low cost.

Conte has put Arturo Vidal top of his wish list but Barcelona want €20 million for their midfielder, according to reports in Spain yesterday.

Mauro Icardi’s sale would change the scenario for Inter but their former captain remains a long way from a departure.
