Inter will resign Cristiano Biraghi on a loan deal from Fiorentina if Dalbert moves back to Nice, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Nerazzurri would have an option to buy for their former academy full-back, just as Nice would have for the Brazilian.

Biraghi would be eligible for a homegrown slot in Inter’s Champions League and Serie A squads, further strengthening the club’s new block of Italians after the arrivals of Nicolo Barella and Stefano Sensi.

The 26-year-old has earned a degree of international experience after breaking into Italy’s first team and would help provide crosses for Romelu Lukaku.

Antonio Conte can currently call upon Kwadwo Asamoah, Dalbert and Federico Dimarco on the left-hand side of his 3-5-2 system.

Biraghi’s return would enable him to move Asamoah into central midfield when necessary, while still having a back-up option out wide in Dimarco.

The former Parma full-back could provide useful cover until January as Inter prepare for a busy first half of the season.

Inter must first complete a deal to bring Biraghi back from Fiorentina, though, for whom a five-year deal is on the table.
