Inter and Fiorentina are continuing to talk over a possible swap deal that would see them exchange Matteo Politano and Cristiano Biraghi according to a report from La Nazione.

Despite Politano being one of Inter’s better players last season and the fact they only turned his stay permanent recently, the Nerazzurri leadership are willing to sacrifice Politano so that they can acquire Biraghi, who’s arrival would help out a lot when it comes to squad registration rules in UEFA competitions due to being an Inter academy graduate.

As things currently stand, the two clubs are discussing a season-long loan exchange for the two Italian internationals.

The report goes on to state that the two clubs, if things proceed as is, will then sit down again at the end of the upcoming season to discuss the next steps which could well result in one or both of the players being transfered permanently between the clubs.
