Joao Mario’s exclusion from today’s closed doors friendly match against Gozzano is further proof that he is not considered part of Antonio Conte’s plans according to a report from FCInterNews.it.
The Portuguese midfielder joined Inter back in 2016 from Sporting Lisbon but has never truly managed to perform to expectations and only ever really shown what he is capable of on a few occasions.
The 26-year-old has featured over pre-season but has not convinced Conte with his performances and the club are trying to offload him.
As things stand, Sevilla appear to be the most likely desination for the 26-year-old midfielder, who has drawn links to several other clubs over the Summer.
Former club Sporting Lisbon have shown an interest, whilst Galatasaray, Monaco, Villarreal, Celta Vigo, Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig have all also all been linked with him.
Last season he made 22 appearances across all competitions in which he scored once and tallied three assists.
