Cristiano Biraghi wants to rejoin Inter but the Nerazzurri’s talks with Fiorentina are not close to a conclusion, the Viola’s sporting director Daniele Prade said last night.

Antonio Conte wants an extra reinforcement on the left-hand side of his 3-5-2 system, with Dalbert in talks to resign for Nice in Ligue 1.

Prade addressed reporters on Sunday following Fiorentina’s 3-1 victory over Monza in the Coppa Italia.

He said: “Biraghi wants to go to Inter but we need to be satisfied here at Fiorentina too. We’re not close at all [to a deal].

“Dalbert could have been a makeweight in a deal for Biraghi but he would prefer to go to Nice, who are a very strong club economically speaking.”

Matteo Politano is also being linked with a move to Fiorentina as part of a swap deal for Biraghi, but Prade denied these reports as well.

Biraghi spent seven years in Inter’s youth system before leaving to join Chievo in 2014.

The Italy international made 35 appearances in Serie A last season as Vincenzo Montella’s side narrowly escaped a shock relegation on the final weekend.
