Inter are preparing ‘big moves’ in midfield ahead of the final two weeks of the transfer window, according to Gazzetta dello Sport’s transfer expert Carlo Laudisa.

Suning have spent heavily this summer in a bid to improve the technical quality of Antonio Conte’s squad, but the Nerazzurri’s owners have not finished yet.

Inter need to offload Joao Mario before seeking another midfielder but at that point they would spring back into action on the market.

Laudisa confirmed Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal were two possible targets but urged supporters to ‘look out for the surprises’, before assuring it would be ‘a finale to savour’ for Inter this month.

Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio are on the verge of creating ‘a super couple for a super Inter’ by reuniting former Manchester United teammates Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku.

El Niño Maravilla will need to rediscover his old form after disappearing from sight in Manchester, but Laudisa was confident Conte would be able to revive his career.

“Inter have been quick to fill the vacancy left by Edin Dzeko, which is a significant demonstration of strength and togetherness from the club,” he wrote.

“Steven Zhang and the club’s management are in agreement with Conte over every move and want to end the window with a bang, so it meets all expectations.”

Laudisa also reiterated Mauro Icardi’s desire to join Juventus, despite increasingly strong interest from Napoli, but assured Inter were not particularly concerned about the striker’s current situation.

Inter have not given up on signing Paulo Dybala, despite closing in on Sanchez, and will continue to leave the door open for Juventus in that sense, safe in the knowledge their arch rivals do want to sign Icardi.
