Inter will step up their interest in free agent Fernando Llorente after completing a deal to sign Alexis Sanchez, according to Tuttosport.

The former Tottenham striker is being monitored by Napoli, Lazio and Fiorentina in Italy and Borussia Dortmund in Germany.

But the Nerazzurri are hoping Llorente’s strong relationship with Antonio Conte and Beppe Marotta, who brought him to Juventus in 2013, can make the difference in their favour.

Inter do not need to secure a deal for Llorente before the transfer window shuts on 2 September because the Spaniard is not contracted to any club.

Cristiano Biraghi is also expected to arrive in the final two weeks of the market, with Fiorentina’s club manager Giancarlo Antognoni yesterday admitting a deal could be close.

Inter have prepared a five-year deal worth €2 million annually for the full-back and hope to have him in Milan by the middle of this week.

Matteo Politano could be included in a deal for Biraghi, with Sanchez’s arrival likely to reduce the former Sassuolo forward’s chances of getting game time.

Inter are also continuing to monitor the situation regarding Arturo Vidal at Barcelona, with the midfielder ‘liking’ an Instagram post from the club’s former striker Ivan Zamorano on Sunday.
