Romelu Lukaku is bombarding Alexis Sanchez with messages in a bid to convince his former Manchester United teammate to join Inter, according to the Daily Mail.
The Belgian striker joined for a fee in the region of €75 million earlier this month and has been contacting Sanchez ‘every day’ to talk him into a reunion.
Sanchez, who only scored once in the Premier League last season, has even been told Milan is ‘a far more beautiful place to live than Manchester’.
“A medical has been pencilled in for Tuesday and Sanchez would no doubt arrive at Inter fully motivated to return to his best,” Alvise Cagnazzo reported.
“Both he and Lukaku have plenty to prove this season and they would form a key part of the expected 3-5-2 formation at the San Siro.”
United are expected to pay half of Sanchez’s £560,000-per-week wages, according to reports in Gazzetta dello Sport this morning.
The 30-year-old has already spent three years in Serie A with Udinese, who sold him onto Barcelona in 2011.
