Arturo Vidal cannot wait to rejoin his former Juventus coach Antonio Conte at Inter, according to Sport Mediaset.

The Nerazzurri do not wish to meet Barcelona’s €20 million valuation for the midfielder, who scored three goals in a mixed debut campaign last season.

Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio are working ‘patiently’ for Vidal in the hope the Catalan giants will accept a loan move in the final week of the transfer window.

Vidal would most likely be reunited with his Chile teammate Alexis Sanchez in Milan, as Inter move ever close to securing a deal for the Manchester United forward.

Conte spent three years working with Vidal at Juve and is widely credited with transforming him into one of the world’s most formidable midfielders.

Inter need any additional signing they make in midfield to be ‘low cost’, meaning they can only sign the 32-year-old on loan with an option to buy.
