Brescia are no longer interested in resigning Inter midfielder Rigoberto Rivas, according to FcInterNews.it.

Massimo Cellino considered a move for the Honduran international earlier this summer, following the Rondinelle’s promotion to Serie A.

But the club have since decided to chase other targets instead, ending the 21-year-old’s hopes of a first season in Italy’s top flight.

Pescara and Cremonese remain interested in the player while Sporting Braga have made an approach from Portugal.

Rivas made 15 appearances for Brescia during the 2017-18 season, when they were still in Serie B.

He played 13 games on loan for Ternana in Serie C last year, as the Fere slumped to a disappointing 11th-place finish in Group B.

Rivas, who has three years left on his contract with Inter, will most likely resolve his future in the final week of the transfer window.

The midfielder made his senior international debut in June, playing 75 minutes in Honduras’ 1-1 friendly draw against Paraguay.

He scored eight goals for Inter’s Primavera side before graduating from the Nerazzurri’s youth system in 2017.
